6 Reasons Why Eggs Are The Healthiest Food on The Planet

Eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet.
Just imagine… a whole egg contains all the nutrients needed to turn a single cell into an entire baby chicken.
However, eggs have gotten a bad reputation because the yolks are high in cholesterol.
In fact, a single medium sized egg contains 186 mg of cholesterol, which is 62% of the recommended daily intake.
People believed that if you ate cholesterol, that it would raise cholesterol in the blood and contribute to heart disease.
But it turns out that it isn’t that simple. The more you eat of cholesterol, the less your body produces instead.
Let me explain how that works…

How Your Body Regulates Cholesterol Levels

Cholesterol is often seen as a negative word.
When we hear it, we automatically start thinking of medication, heart attacks and early death.

But the truth is that cholesterol is a very important part of the body. It is a structural molecule that is an essential part of every single cell membrane.
It is also used to make steroid hormones like testosterone, estrogen and cortisol.
Without cholesterol, we wouldn’t even exist.
Given how incredibly important cholesterol is, the body has evolved elaborate ways to ensure that we always have enough of it available.
Because getting cholesterol from the diet isn’t always an option, the liver actually produces cholesterol.
But when we eat a lot of cholesterol rich foods, the liver starts producing less (1, 2).
So the total amount of cholesterol in the body changes only

Eggs and Cholesterol – How Many Eggs Can You Safely Eat?

So the total amount of cholesterol in the body changes only very little (if at all), it is just coming from the diet instead of from the liver (3, 4).

Bottom Line: The liver produces large amounts of cholesterol. When we eat a lot of eggs (high in cholesterol), the liver produces less instead.

What Happens When People Eat Several Whole Eggs Per Day?

For many decades, people have been advised to limit their consumption of eggs, or at least of egg yolks (the white is mostly protein and is low in cholesterol).
Common recommendations include a maximum of 2-6 yolks per week. However, there really isn’t much scientific support for these limitations .
Luckily, we do have a number of excellent studies that can put our minds at ease.
In these studies, people are split into two groups… one group eats several (1-3) whole eggs per day, the other group eats something else (like egg substitutes) instead. Then the researchers follow the people for a number of weeks/months.
These studies show that:
  • In almost all cases, HDL (the “good”) cholesterol goes up .
  • Total and LDL cholesterol levels usually don’t change, but sometimes they increase slightly
  • Eating Omega-3 enriched eggs can lower blood triglycerides, another important risk factor
  • Blood levels of carotenoid antioxidants like Lutein and Zeaxanthine increase significantly
It appears that the response to whole egg consumption depends on the individual.
In 70% of people, it has no effect on Total or LDL cholesterol. However, in 30% of people (termed “hyper responders”), these numbers do go up slightly (18).
That being said, I don’t think this is a problem. The studies show that eggs change the LDL particles from small, dense LDL to Large LDL  .
People who have predominantly large LDL particles have a lower risk of heart disease. So even if eggs cause mild increases in Total and LDL cholesterol levels, this is not a cause for concern  .
The science is clear that up to 3 whole eggs per day are perfectly safe for healthy people who are trying to stay healthy.
Bottom Line: Eggs consistently raise HDL (the “good”) cholesterol. For 70% of people, there is no increase in Total or LDL cholesterol. There may be a mild increase in a benign sub type of LDL in some people.

Eggs and Heart Disease

Many studies have looked at egg consumption and the risk of heart disease.
All of these studies are so-called observational studies. In studies like these, large groups of people are followed for many years.
Then the researchers use statistical methods to figure out whether certain habits (like diet, smoking or exercise) are linked to either a decreased or increased risk of some disease.
These studies, some of which include hundreds of thousands of people, consistently show that people who eat whole eggs are no more likely to develop heart disease. Some of the studies even show a reduced risk of stroke .
However… one thing that is worth noting, is that these studies show that diabetics who eat eggs are at an increased risk of heart disease
Whether the eggs are causing the increased risk in diabetics is not known. These types of studies can only show a correlation and it is possible that the diabetics who eat eggs are, on average, less health conscious than those who don’t.
This may also depend on the rest of the diet. On a low-carb diet (by far the best diet for diabetics), eggs lead to improvements in heart disease risk factors  .
Bottom Line: Many observational studies show that people who eat eggs don’t have an increased risk of heart disease, but some of the studies do show an increased risk in diabetics.

Eggs Have Plenty of Other Health Benefits Too

Let’s not forget that eggs are about more than just cholesterol… they’re also loaded with nutrients and have various other impressive benefits:
  • They’re high in Lutein and Zeaxanthine, antioxidants that reduce your risk of eye diseases like Macular Degeneration and Cataracts .
  • They’re very high in Choline, a brain nutrient that over 90% of people are lacking in .
  • They’re high in quality animal protein, which has many benefits – including increased muscle mass and better bone health ).
  • Studies show that eggs increase satiety and help you lose fat (35, 36).

Eggs also taste amazing and are incredibly easy to prepare.
So even IF eggs were to have mild adverse effects on blood cholesterol (which they don’t), the benefits of consuming them would still far outweigh the negatives.
Bottom Line: Eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. They contain important brain nutrients and powerful antioxidants that can protect the eyes.

How Much is Too Much?

Unfortunately, we don’t have studies where people are fed more than 3 eggs per day.
It is possible (although unlikely) that eating even more than that could have a detrimental effect on health. Eating more than 3 is uncharted territory, so to speak.
However… I did find an interesting case study (a study with only one individual). It was an 88 year old man who consumed 25 eggs per day.
He had normal cholesterol levels and was in very good health .
Of course, a study of one doesn’t prove anything, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
It’s also important to keep in mind that not all eggs are the same. Most eggs at the supermarket are from chickens that are raised in factories and fed grain-based feeds.
The healthiest eggs are Omega-3 enriched eggs, or eggs from hens that are raised on pasture. These eggs are much higher in Omega-3s and important fat-soluble vitamins .
Overall, eating eggs is perfectly safe, even if you’re eating up to 3 whole eggs per day.
I personally eat 3-6 whole eggs per day (about 30-40 per week) and my health has never been better.
Given the incredible range of nutrients and powerful health benefits, quality eggs may just be the healthiest food on the planet.

Nutritional value of eggs

Nutritional value of eggs

Nutritional value of eggs

Nutritional value of eggs Eggs are a fantastic food that contain a huge number of vitamins and minerals that are required by the body for optimal health and growth. They are also an excellent and affordable source of protein, which is needed to provide essential amino acids to the body.

One large hard-boiled egg only contains 78 calories and 5.3g of fat, with only 1.6 of those grams of fat being saturated fat, which are not good for the body and can lead to cardiovascular and heart disease.

The level of cholesterol in eggs is high (212mg in 1 large hard-boiled egg), however recent research has discovered that the level of cholesterol contained in a food, has little significance to the amount of cholesterol contained in a person's blood.

In other words, if you consume a food that is rich in cholesterol, it does not mean that the cholesterol levels in your blood will rise. It has been discovered that it is in fact the amount of saturated fat in a food that is responsible for the rise in a person's blood cholesterol levels and is a risk factor of heart disease. Foods such as cakes, biscuits, crisps and processed foods are high in saturated fats.

As a result of these recent findings, healthy people do not have to limit their consumption of eggs to two a week, as they could be losing out on the many other beneficial properties of eggs.

Eggs also provide significant amounts of vitamin A, B, D and E and are rich in calcium, iron, selenium, phosphorous, potassium, riboflavin, sodium and magnesium. They are low in sugar and do not contain any carbohydrates.

Recall expands to more than half a billion eggs

WASHINGTON – More than a half-billion eggs have been recalled in the nationwide investigation of a salmonella outbreak that Friday expanded to include a second Iowa farm. The outbreak has already sickened more than 1,000 people and the toll of illnesses is expected to increase.

Iowa's Hillandale Farms said Friday it was recalling more than 170 million eggs after laboratory tests confirmed salmonella. The company did not say if its action was connected to the recall by Wright County Egg, another Iowa farm that recalled 380 million eggs earlier this week. The latest recall puts the total number of potentially tainted eggs at about 550 million.

FDA spokeswoman Pat El-Hinnawy said the two recalls are related. The strain of salmonella bacteria causing the poisoning is the same in both cases, salmonella enteritidis.

Federal officials say it's one of the largest egg recalls in recent history. Americans consume about 220 million eggs a day, based on industry estimates. Iowa is the leading egg producing state.

The eggs recalled Friday were distributed under the brand names Hillandale Farms, Sunny Farms, Sunny Meadow, Wholesome Farms and West Creek. The new recall applies to eggs sold between April and August.

Hillandale said the eggs were distributed to grocery distribution centers, retail groceries and food service companies which service or are located in fourteen states, including Arkansas, California, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Thoroughly cooking eggs can kill the bacteria. But health officials are recommending people throw away or return the recalled eggs.

A food safety expert at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., said the source of the outbreak could be rodents, shipments of contaminated hens, or tainted feed. Microbiology professor Patrick McDonough said he was not surprised to hear about two recalls involving different egg companies, because in other outbreaks there have also been multiple sources.

Both plants could have a rodent problem, or both plants could have gotten hens that were already infected, or feed that was contaminated.

"You need biosecurity of the hen house, you want a rodent control program and you want to have hens put into that environment that are salmonella free," McDonough said.

The salmonella bacteria is not passed from hen to hen, but usually from rodent droppings to chickens, he added. This strain of bacteria is found inside a chicken's ovaries, and gets inside an egg.

CDC officials said Thursday that the number of illnesses related to the outbreak is expected to grow. That's because illnesses occurring after mid-July may not be reported yet, said Dr. Christopher Braden, an epidemiologist with the federal Centers for Disease Control.

Almost 2,000 illnesses from the strain of salmonella linked to both recalls were reported between May and July, almost 1,300 more than usual, Braden said. No deaths have been reported. The CDC is continuing to receive information from state health departments as people report their illnesses.

The most common symptoms of salmonella are diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever within eight hours to 72 hours of eating a contaminated product. It can be life-threatening, especially to those with weakened immune systems.

The form of salmonella tied to the outbreak can be passed from chickens that appear healthy. And it grows inside eggs, not just on the shell, Braden noted.

228M eggs recalled following salmonella outbreak

Source: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100818/ap_on_bi_ge/us_tainted_eggs

WASHINGTON – An Iowa egg producer is recalling 228 million eggs after being linked to an outbreak of salmonella poisoning.

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa, were linked to several illnesses in Colorado, California and Minnesota. The CDC said about 200 cases of the strain of salmonella linked to the eggs were reported weekly during June and July, four times the normal number of such occurrences.

State health officials say tainted eggs have sickened at least 266 Californians and seven in Minnesota.

The eggs were distributed around the country and packaged under the names Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.

The Food and Drug Administration is investigating.

In a statement, company officials said the FDA is "on-site to review records and inspect our barns." The officials said they began the recall Aug. 13.

The most common symptoms of salmonella are diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever within eight hours to 72 hours of eating a contaminated product. It can be life-threatening, especially to those with weakened immune systems.

Egg Donation Facts

In today's society those of us are "rewarded" for not getting children. If you want to have a good mortgage standing in life you by and large have to study and work for the original 30 to 40 years of your life. Many women find that subsequent to properties have achieved a skilled level of triumph where they are "ready to raise a family" - their bodies are not going to supply them provided a family. The fertility of women decreases significantly in her late 30's, that is often only the time they hold a professional standing so can provide them with a comfortable lifestyle.

This is one of the reasons why egg donation is coming across as more and more popular in places all within the world nowadays.

This article will look at some truths roughly egg donation.

With economic wealth turn up a good number of changes in society and culture. Not too extended ago it was quiet common for young women to be pregnant amidst their first child by the age of 16 - nowadays it is frowned upon, and for a good reason.

In order to be able to provide a financially firm surroundings for a child, we nowadays need to go with many yours of schooling and take in several years of experience in the market world.
By the time we are "ready" for kids, our body often points out that "society might have changed, but biology didn't". Meaning, if you need to get pregnant in your late 30's or 40's, a good amount of inherent you'll wish some help of fertility specialists.

Egg donation is increasing rapidly in popularity. Because the main cog in older woman that makes a pregnancy either unachievable or too precarious is the diminished quality of their eggs.

In fact 14,000 "egg donation babies" are born every year in the USA according to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

That number in and of itself might not be surprising in a nation of 300,000,000 people, but if you look at the reality that there has been a 40% step up in egg donation procedures since the year 2000 at that time that is quiet impressive.

It all started in 1978 when the first "test tube baby" was born - her and cr was Louise Joy Brown and you can still read about her today if you do a Google search on her name.

Technology has advanced a lot till then and nowadays it is even likely to freeze ones own eggs at a fertile age and "unfreeze them" years next when you are ready to get pregnant.

While the results when using frozen eggs are a great deal not as good as the possible outcome when using fresh eggs, the freezing technology is evolving constantly and currently a process called 'vitrification' proves to be very promising and so far has shown to deliver good results.

There are many matters who need to be tackled in the egg donation industry of America, specially when it comes to procedures and the need for ideally documentation, but it looks like it's as if the current will happen within this or the next year.

Established egg donation agencies who do their sector in a responsible manner will only income according to a well-designed amount of regulation, as will both egg donors and and infertile couples.

The Egg Donation Industry is Booming

Eggs have been donated and traded since the fertility industry began 30 years ago. With the use of the Internet, the business has turned into a national open egg market, amid little regulation from the government. Fertility clinics and brokers are raising the prices compensated for eggs and advertising to broke college women with high test scores and well looks.

Websites and college newspaper classifieds always carry numerous egg donor ads. Classified-ad website Craigslist publishes 150 ads on a usual day. A Web search for "egg donor" on Google produces dozens of links to advertisers. One ad in the student newspaper at the University of California, Berkeley says, "Egg Donors Needed. $10,000.” The ad is from a San Diego broker called A Perfect Match and seeks women who are "attractive, under the age of 29" and undergo SAT scores above 1,300.

Donors are typically women aged 21-30, when women are numerous fertile and eggs are healthiest. Of course the a multitude of pressure is on college students, because they are better educated and strapped for cash, and thus more willing to donate. Potential egg donors have got to pass medical and psychological tests before clinics allow their information to be released to prospective parents. Donors take hormone-boosting shots for about a month to stimulate egg production. Ten to 15 eggs are extracted with a needle out of the donor's vagina, while below sedation, and combined with sperm to create an embryo that is later inserted into the future mother's womb.

As some nations curtail the practice, the USA is becoming the industry's last open market. Many couples are traveling to other countries to construct infertility attention because it is illegal in this country, or because of the long wait for the treatment, which can be several years long. For instance, it is illegal to use IVF to select the sex of a child in the UK, while the use of surrogate mothers is banned in France and Spain. In Spain, it is also illegal to receive a donated egg from someone you know, these kinds of as a sister, additonally in Denmark it is illegal to acquire a donated egg from someone you do not know. Couples may in addition be attracted by the more low&wshyp;cost cost of fertility service in Russia, the Ukraine, India, and Greece.

The infertility boom has now grown to include all of it based on what i read in fertility drugs to eggs, and is an forecasted $3 billion a year. Despite the moral issues that surround this industry, infertility services help many infertile couples to conceive and fulfill their dream of raising children. If you don't have any moral qualms right about egg donation, and are healthy, you could assistance an infertile couple conceive by donating.

Favorite Rare Breed Chickens

Humans have bred chicken breeds for thousands of years from wild jungle fowl. Today, there are an estimated 350 combinations of physical features for chickens. Here is a sampler of colorful breeds considered rare that are finding favor again. As a collection, they lay an assortment of rich pinkish brown, tinted white, pure white and blue/green-shelled eggs.

Silver Laced Wyandotte

Of all the breeds I've raised, this is a favorite. The Wyandotte comes in several color varieties and originated in America. The Silver Laced variety was developed in New York State while the other Wyandottes developed in north and northeastern states near the end of the 19th century and during the first part of the 20th century.

There is something ‘plump and round' about this breed. They can be raised outdoors in colder climates and have what is called a ‘rose comb' that doesn't freeze as easily as the single comb that some other breeds have. The plumage really does appear black, white and silvery laced, and their brown eggs even seem ‘rounder' than other breeds' eggs and can have a pinkish cast to them. They are considered medium weight, with the male (cock) averaging 8 ½ pounds and the female (hen) weighing around 6 ½ pounds. They have a good disposition, although our Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster seemed more aggressive than our Barred Rock rooster. The hens make very good mothers. One fault that may not apply to the backyard chicken owner is that the Wyandotte's fertile eggs are described by some as having poor hatch quality. But if you have both a rooster and hens and don't want a backyard hatchery, this could even be a benefit.

Ancona

Here is a non-commercial breed known for its white egg laying ability. It originated in Italy near the city of Ancona. This breed came to America in the 19th century. It has a mixed ancestry, which included early Leghorns and is considered very hardy and a prolific egg-layer. The eggs are white and somewhat small. Its beautiful black feathers are tipped with white and they can officially have either single combs or rose combs.

They are a lighter breed than the Wyandotte, with the rooster weighing around 6 pounds and the hen about 4 ½. They forage very well on their own and do not seem bothered by severe climates. This breed is considered rare in the United States.

Araucana

Here's the famous blue/turquoise egg laying chicken. Adding a few Araucanas to my flock really added a rainbow look to the tinted, brown, and pinkish eggs the other birds provided. Stories of its origin vary, but it appears that they came from South America near the northern part of Chile and appeared in America around 1930 when a breeder imported them. The Araucana natives bred the “Collonca” with the “Quetro” which produced a bird that came to be called the Araucana. Their coloring can be a mix of browns, reddish, tans and white, and a ‘true' Araucana has no tail, although I was given two wild hens by a backyard breeder with beautiful tails that laid huge green eggs, so there are certainly Araucana mixes out there. This breed can be either large or small, and a true Araucana's blue egg color should permeate through the entire eggshell, unlike brown eggs where the brown color is on the outside surface only. Their eggs are usually medium in size, and because of their recent and mixed ancestry, breeding new Araucanas from breeding stock can be very difficult, as many of the offspring may carry traits from past ancestry and may not lay blue eggs.

Egyptian Fayoumis

This breed is very uncommon in the United States, but has been raised in Egypt along the Nile River for centuries. It is a small breed that naturally matures quicker than other breeds with the young females possibly laying their eggs as early as four months. And watch out, the roosters can start crowing at five weeks! They have beautiful black, white and silvery markings and can have leg color of greenish or gray blue. They are very active and eager foragers, and the hens lay small tinted white eggs. Owners say they can become very tame, although some insist they have quite a bit of attitude as compared to other breeds!

Phoenix

The Phoenix is a very old long-tailed breed originating in Japan, although it is believed by some breeders to have originated with another Japanese name, and then made its way to Germany where it was refined from other long-tailed fowl and named ‘Phoenix.' Considered an active bird, the hens lay white or slightly tinted eggs, and do not lay as many as other breeds, which works well for an owner who doesn't need the daily egg. This breed, along with other long-tailed breeds, was once kept in imperial gardens for its unusual plumage beauty. Roosters sometimes grew tails as long as 10, 20, and some say even 30 feet, caused by a genetic trait to molt the feathers every second or third year rather than yearly, as in most breeds. Although opinions differ, most breeders agree that the true Phoenix has a single comb with slate colored legs, and today, the Phoenix rooster can sport tail feathers of a more ordinary length. Other names for similar long-tailed breeds from Asia include Yokohamas and Onagadori.

Favorite Rare Breed Chickens

Humans have bred chicken breeds for thousands of years from crazed jungle fowl. Today, there are an estimated 350 combinations of physical features for chickens. Here is a sampler of colorful breeds considered rare who are finding favor again. As a collection, they lay an assortment of rich pinkish brown, tinted white, pure white and blue/green-shelled eggs.

Silver Laced Wyandotte

Of all the breeds I've raised, this is a favorite. The Wyandotte comes in several color varieties and originated in America. The Silver Laced variety was developed in New York State while the other Wyandottes developed in north and northeastern states pretty near the end of the 19th century and during the first part of the 20th century.

There is something ‘plump and round' about this breed. They can be raised outdoors in colder climates and have what is called a ‘rose comb' which doesn't freeze as easily as the single comb that some other breeds have. The plumage really performs appear black, white and silvery laced, and their brown eggs even seem ‘rounder' as opposed to other breeds' eggs and can have a pinkish cast to them. They are considered medium weight, with the male (cock) averaging 8 ½ pounds and the female (hen) weighing all over 6 ½ pounds. They have a the best disposition, although our Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster seemed more aggressive than our Barred Rock rooster. The hens make very the best mothers. One fault that may not apply to the backyard chicken owner is such a the Wyandotte's fertile eggs are described by some as having poor hatch quality. But if you have both a rooster and hens and don't look for a backyard hatchery, the could even be a benefit.

Ancona

Here is a non-commercial breed celebrated for its white egg laying ability. It originated in Italy pretty near the city of Ancona. This breed came to America in the 19th century. It has a mixed ancestry, that included early Leghorns and is considered very hardy and a prolific egg-layer. The eggs are white and faintly small. Its beautiful brown feathers are tipped with white and they can lawfully hold either single combs or rose combs.

They are a lighter breed than the Wyandotte, with the rooster weighing around 6 pounds and the hen up 4 ½. They forage very positively on their own and do not seem troubled by grim climates. This breed is considered rare in the United States.

Stormpay, 12 Daily Pro and the Internet Farmers

Working on the Internet can be dangerous: if you are not moderate you can pick up a virus or a Trojan; opening an email might unleash a dangerous worm; you can get diverted, hijacked and spied upon. As long as you are up to date of the dangers, you can take sensible precautions and enjoy the Internet in safety. Sometimes, however, the danger comes according to an completely unpredicted direction. The coming up is a true story but some of the names have been modified to protect the innocent.

Once, not so long ago, Internet chicken farming was a popular occupation. After all, a large amount of people use eggs in one form or another. The record profits were earned by the farmers who could attain to invest the most in their businesses. However, with a little work and careful reinvestment, the poorer farmers were able to engender up their inventory and increment their situation. Although not everyone was able to see the benefits of chicken farming it was, overall, a good life and a good deal people with no previous experience and small amount of capital to invest were able start on their own business.

Sour Grapes said: "You're safer making an effort for a boss".

John Farmer said: "I must try, I'll never get rich working for a boss".

Experience said: "Diversify".

As more and a good amount of chicken farmers became successful, word spread and increasing numbers of people took an interest in the business. Many everybody took up chicken farming in a small way to supplement their wages from everyday jobs. People liked chicken farming, it did not take up too much of such a spare minute and they appreciate the extra revenue it brought them.

Sour Grapes said: "It isn't a proper job".

John Farmer said: "If this works out as planned, I can quit my job".

Experience said: "Diversify".

One day a new breed of bird was introduced to the chicken farming community. A few intrepid farmers added the new bird to the stock and found the it was clearly as easy to rear as everyday hens. The big difference was the new bird laid golden eggs regularly every 12 days. The new bird was labeled 12 Daily Egg Provider, I'll call it 12 Daily Pro for short.

Sour Grapes said: "No such thing as golden eggs".

John Farmer said: "I heard it's true. I intend to try it out."

Experience said: "Diversify".

Word quickly spread over the state that 12 Daily Pro did, indeed, lay golden eggs. Each egg produced by 12 Daily Pro was worth many times the value of an ordinary hen's egg. More and further farmers began to rear some12 Daily Pro alongside the common hen. People who had never nonetheless considered chicken farming previously set themselves up as 12 Daily Pro farmers.

Sour Grapes said: "It will not last a month".

John Farmer said: "Even just a few golden eggs, ought to give me supplementary finances than I ever dreamed of".

Experience said: "Diversify".

Everybody turned on Experience and asked: "Can't you say anything else apart from "diversify"?"

Experience explained: "Even egg farmers need a large number of streams of income, not merely one or two. Grow some crops, develop a sideline as a mechanic, paint pictures, anything, just don't rely on one or two sources of income. You never know how the future holds"

Everyone was astonished at the length of this statement from the mainly taciturn Experience, but they soon forgot and few customers took the advice. New farmers kept 12 Daily Pro as their clearly stock as properties couldn't see the point in rearing birds that could only produce ordinary eggs. Even Other of the more felt farmers began to reduce their numbers of routine hens and relied more and more upon 12 Daily Pro.

Sour Grapes said: "It'll all be finished by Thanksgiving".

John Farmer said: "I've never before made so much bucks so quickly".

Experience headed back to: "Diversify" but when people turned and stared at him he added: "you would miss hens' eggs if there were not any".

Thanksgiving came and went and, in short of a year, many 12 Daily Pro farmers became quite rich and there was a growing trend in the community to put up up breeding hens in favour of 12 Daily Pro farming.

Sour Grapes said: "It'll be over by Christmas".

John Farmer said: "I don't attention much for eggs anyway".

Experience said: "Without eggs there would be no cakes: pancakes, meringues, omelettes…"

Christmas passed uneventfully for the farmers but January brought them a shock. They discovered that all the chicken feed in the whole world had been taken during by a disreputable ex-farmer, ex-lawyer named Mr Stormpay. Stormpay informed the farmers that they had a choice: to buy feed from him at inflated prices or to go without and let their birds starve. This type of option is called "Hobson's choice", on the Internet it's called "scampay".

Sour Grapes said: "See, I was right".

John Farmer said: "There's no alternative".

Experience said: "…mayonnaise, batter, custard…"

The farmers paid Stormpay for the feed but he didn't deliver it. He kept the farmers' money and poured all the feed properties had paid for into the swill at his pig farm. The farmers tried to reason with Stormpay up the unfairness of the trouble but he used lawyers to prevaricate. As Stormpay had all this money, the farmers could not afford to use lawyers to help them. Without the feed, 12 Daily Pro golden egg creation ceased immediately. The steadiest of the rampant hens got able to remain laying their ordinary eggs because properties could survive on the grubs and greens they could peck at around the farms but, as the farmers had concentrated so that much on 12 Daily Pro, there were not very many hens left, eggs became scarce and the farming community have had to deal with terrible suffering.

Sour Grapes said: "Shouldn't have put all your eggs in one basket".

John Farmer said: "It was a mistake to give in to Stormpay's blackmail".

Experience said: "Shakespeare was properly about lawyers".

How Can Integrity Protect Your Reputation?

Reputation is everything. Surprisingly, an eggshell can instruct us how to protect our reputation. Really? Yes it can.

Chickens are everyday livestock in the farmstead. The Farmer placed the hencoop in the backyard of his house. There got seven hens producing eggs. At one exact afternoon, The Farmer surveyed me to take an egg from what i read in its nest. And when I returned back to him with the egg in my hand, I found him having a sharp needle.

“Please assure that thou can remember presently egg!” said The Farmer as great as taking that chicken's egg from my hand. And lifted it quite high till it position as high as my eyes.

“What am able to you do?” I enquired.

“Watch this,”

Then he jabbed of the egg provided the needle. Slow and tender. I understood that he did not wish that eggshell to be wiped out or broke hence.

“Why are you doing that?” I insisted on.

“Thou might understand. Just be patience and wait,” The Farmer said.

Afterwards, The Farmer returned the egg coming back to me. I checked it precisely on the place where the small needle jabbed. Nothing I discovered but a very small dot of the superior needle on the surface of the eggshell.

“Make sure thou can remember this egg!” The Farmer repeated his word.
“I don't think so,“ my word. ”For me, all the chicken eggs easily seen to be the same.”

“Just wait. And thou will understand….” He reciprocated, “Now return the egg back to the den. ” I can do nothing but listened to and obeyed his word.

In the next three days, The Farmer preceded and asked me to take the egg back to him. “That is impossible, Sir, “ I evaded. “For me, all the eggs are seen to be the same. What if I take a wrong egg?”

”Just try!” he said. He forced me to do it anyway. So that I did not have any choice but went to the nest.

When a few moment later I returned going back with an egg on my right hand, whereas my left hand closed my nose, The Farmer enquired: ”What an easy task, isn't it?”

“I do not know, whether this is the right egg,” I replied.

“Surely the egg, Son”

“How can you be so confident?”

“Because, the current is the egg we jabbed its shell three days ago,”

Do you know, why the egg with a damage shell will be able to straight off become a rotten egg and reek? You are correct. Because, the eggshell function is to protect the entire substance inside it. The Farmer told me so the eggshell is similar to what we call as integrity. It has equal function with ‘your integrity', which is taking care of your reputation.

In modern business life of urban, you will only become a good executive and keep to be good, if you are able to take care of your integrity. Because, once you smirch your integrity, sooner or later people around you will smell it. Your reputation will be damaged, then. Through that egg, The Farmer taught me that our integrity guards our reputation as the eggshell performs to the egg substance. The substance inside the egg is a symbol referring to your reputation.

Once you hurt your own integrity no measure how mild or severe it is, then it would be damaged. And it shall no longer protect your reputation. And similar to the egg we mentioned, yet your reputation not to be guaranteed by the shell of your integrity, sooner or later, you would become like such decaying egg. Stain. And Smell. And finally are required to be put aside from your community. And lose all the options you should get. And then everything turns in to nothing.

It is no wonder if you oftentimes found a truly bright person who is surprisingly lost his career by one wrong step. So that his integrity shell is broken, then destroy all the means he has built for decades in his run life. In real life, you possibly have met someone who was actually bright. And taken out really extreme technical ability in his work place. But, this person has never kept on promoted for any important position only while his unfavorable integrity. No matter how good you are, with such bad integrity, you will not yield a ‘delicious omelet'. And only amidst a great integrity, you can enjoy its delicacy you wish in business or career, as well as in your personal life. There is merely one way for you to assure this your reputation remains to be protected, which is to ensure that your integrity shell remains to be intact in place. Do not let it damage a great deal for a very small wound. Though very skinny, the eggshell is a very important element to ascertain the egg entirety remains to be good.

That applies additionally to your integrity shell. It gets a very important construction block to take care off and ascertain your reputation to stay to be good too. Either in your colleague's eyes. Your superior's eyes. Your customer's eyes. And the preceding but not least, in the eyes of your own. Why? Because the first one to knew whether you have a terrific integrity or not is: you.

You, yourself.

What's Your REAL problem??

When was the last time you exhausted excessive time and cash solving a problem simply to come across the problem you thought you had wasn't really the problem at all?

Recognizing the real quandary is necessary to any problem-solving venture. John Dewey said, "A problem is half solved if it is properly stated."
Below are two clear tools that can help you figure out the real problem behind the problem. One tool, ask "Why" questions and a second tool, "change the Action Verb."

Ask Why?

Simply ask the question, Why? A man bought a pair of tan suede leather shoes. About a week after he bought the shoes, he was in the grocery store reaching to a top shelf for a container of cooking oil. Unfortunately, the screw-top of the oil bottle was loose and when tipped a big, fat drop of oil fell right on the suede of the man's shoes. There, smack in the middle of the tan suede was a dark circle of oil about the size of a quarter. The man was beside himself because his new shoes were ruined. Before he tossed the pair, however, he would try to remove the stain. He tried dishwashing and dishwasher soap, bath soap, laundry detergent, baking soda as well as various blends. The stain would not budge. The question, "Why do you wish the stain out?" was asked. Ah, The next thing you knew there were new possibilities. The reality was that the stain itself was not a problem. The reality that the shoes were not a consistent color was the problem. "How to take home the shoes a continuing color" deserved attention. Quickly, there was an idea to put oil on the rest of the suede so the shoes would be one consistent color. Oil built especially for shoes was purchased and applied. It worked! The shoes were a little darker as opposed to initial but all one consistent color. The real situation was solved with tiny cost and minimal effort.
The suede shoes are a clever example of how considering why a "problem" exists may trigger to an underlying issue and, in turn, shine a new sunshine on a good amount opportunities for solutions.

Change the verb

When considering problem solutions try changing the action verb. Changing the verb may open the statement up to a broader interpretation, resulting in a greater array of solutions. For example, I woke one recent morning and found my way to the kitchen in search of my usual fried egg white omelet. Every Evening of a good day I suffer a fried egg white omelet. I cracked the eggs, separated out the yolks, and put the whites in a pan. The pan headed to the gas stove top. I turned the knob but was bewildered by the fact which no fire started. Then I saw it, a gas truck was parked in the alley behind my house. I spoke to the driver who informed me that a city worker had penetrated the gas line while digging. It would be hours before the gas might be restored. What was I to do? My fried egg whites were in jeopardy; my "good" day was at stake. I quickly looked everywhere the room to see how other methods were available to fry my egg whites. I thought, "the coffee maker has a heating element." I could put the pan of egg whites on the coffee-maker. Unfortunately, the element did not get hot an adequate amount of to fry the eggs. I looked around again. I spied a popcorn popper. I could use the bottom of the popper, put the eggs directly on the component and the eggs ought to fry. Success! The eggs did fry, the consistency was a little distinct and they did taste somewhat corny but they fried!

I was so excited about my creative challenges solving skills. When my husband came home so evening I said, "Guess what I did today!" I eagerly imparted upon him of my fried egg dilemma and how I tried the coffee maker and the popcorn popper and ultimately was able to eat my fried eggs. He looked at me in on a confused expression. Finally he spoke, "Why didn't you just use the microwave?"

What happened to my desired plan? I was so focused on the idea of "frying" the eggs that I completely overlooked my real purpose which was to "heat" the eggs. If I had changed the action verb from "fry" to "heat" I would hold immediately went to the microwave.

Two obvious tools, 1) Ask "Why" and 2) Change the Action Verb can save significantly minute and struggle when problem solving.

Maybe when on your next problem solving mission you might also wear suede shoes while eating an egg white omelet….. can't hurt.
